A Singular Season

This September, we’ll be featuring work from one of our favorite Colorado-based artists, Sarah Winkler. In an elegant reflection of the stratified geological timeline, Sarah’s breathtaking mountainscapes are formed layer by layer, each shape featuring an abstract texture created to evoke a recurring pattern in nature. As we move into the Autumn of 2020, and a new season of uncertainty, Sarah’s work is a striking reminder of the grounding power of both art and nature. “I try to tune in to the energetic qualities of seasonal color and use that along with organic geological textures to create a connection to nature in each painting. Both viewing art and being in nature are two contemplative healing solutions that we have to help regain mental balance.”
